Billerica, MA – Orbotech, Inc. the North American subsidiary of Orbotech Ltd., today announced that Streamline Circuits has purchased two Paragon™-SM 20 Laser Direct Imaging (LDI) systems for solder mask applications, a Sprint™-8 inkjet legend printer and InCAM™ software for utilization in its bare printed circuit board operation in Santa Clara, California, USA.
“Purchasing these latest systems from Orbotech is a key part of our multi-million dollar, strategic investment in new, state-of-the-art equipment and facility enhancements. This is allowing us to continue building upon the strength of our facility’s unique manufacturing process in creating time efficiency without jeopardizing quality. For example, the Paragon LDI systems will allow us to move forward with our goal of transitioning to 100% LDI in order to eliminate the costs and limitations of conventional exposure methods”, commented Mr. Charles Dimick, Chief Executive Officer of Streamline Circuits. “Investing in these advanced technology solutions also positions us very well to compete with tier one PCB manufacturers.”
Mr. Yoav Harel, President of Orbotech West, said “We appreciate very much this major equipment purchase by Streamline as the company moves forward with its investment plans. Streamline has a very experienced and well-known management team in the North American PCB industry. Their confidence in our systems as essential tools for providing customers with a high quality, cost-effective product in a time sensitive manner represents an important endorsement about the real value our enabling solutions have for meeting the challenges of today’s highly-competitive market.”
About Paragon™-SM 20 Laser Direct Imaging System
Recently introduced, Paragon™-SM 20 is a high accuracy, fast throughput Laser Direct Imaging system for imaging Solder Mask layers. Based on Orbotech’s field-proven Large Scan Optics (LSO) Technology™, Paragon-SM 20 ensures high yields and lower cost per panel while satisfying tight registration accuracy requirements. More than 400 Orbotech Paragon LDI systems are installed worldwide.
About Sprint™-8 Inkjet Legend Printer
With its unique UCI technology™ (UV Curing Integrated), Sprint-8 delivers the highest quality legend imaging with fast speed at the lowest cost of ink per print for all PCB applications. Sprint-8 printers deliver new innovations for inkjet legend imaging. With its high-performance print heads and electronics, Sprint-8 can image even the most challenging legend jobs efficiently and accurately. Sprint-8 operation is simple and easy, requiring only minimal training. Key benefits include significantly reduced cycle time, yield improvement with minimized handling requirements, and improved operational efficiencies – all while realizing major cost savings.
About InCAM™
InCAM™ is a comprehensive, innovative CAM system for HDI and IC Packaging PCB manufacturers that combines editing and analysis with automatic design-for-manufacture optimization to perform high-precision CAM tooling, with maximum efficiency and speed - helping manufacturers achieve lasting profitability and a competitive edge. InCAM™ supports yield growth by enabling operators to multi-task and run advanced processes in the background, using computer's multi-core CPUs capabilities. Cycle time is dramatically shortened as colleagues team up on jobs in a data-secure, collaborative environment. InCAM ™delivers improved data integrity and fault indication by allowing interactive post processing on selected DFM results. In addition, InCAM™ operators can enjoy a streamlined user interface and remarkably easy-to-use tools. In addition, backwards compatibility with Genesis 2000, for both data and automation, drives productivity even further.
